Destination Lund put some colour to old photos of Lund

We know that many of our followers like the old pictures from Lund, they are even more lovely in color, don´t you agree? This is how it could have looked if there had been colored photos at that time.
This is a photo of the Church street around 1900, toward south. The Cathedral to the left, and the famous café Lundagård to the right.

This photo should be taken 1899, towards the old still existing building Liberiet. Today, the white houses are obscured by Domkyrkoforum (the cathedral forum house).

This picture is taken at the Church street, almost at the same place as the previous one, but towards north. It is taken in the early 1900, but it almost looks the same as nowadays, despite the horse manure in the street.

This photo is taken in the early 1900, probably from the roof of the building Hypoteket. The shrubs in Lundagård is bigger today, but otherwise it look like today.
This picture is taken from the roof of the academic unions house in Lundagård. the house you can see in the left front was called "Kuggis" and was demolished 1897, so the photo must be taken before that. the large white house in the middle is the quit new University main building.
This photo is taken when the students courting the University principal 1904, a still ongoing tradition the first of May every year.

To be continued...
